Big storm last night. It was initially supposed to hit us around 10pm but was really slow moving and took until about 12:50am to get going. At least that’s when it woke me up because I fell asleep waiting for it. I did stay up and watch the lightning and wind for almost an hour before it was passed us and started to calm down. I would have preferred it been earlier in the night but I guess I shouldn’t complain.

A couple of pine trees fell at the park I walk the dog at most mornings. They snapped about halfway up. The grounds crew was already chopping and chipping them up when I got there around 8am. We were lucky around our house to not get any damage that I can find. The woods out back look like some branches came down but they are all smaller and look like they were dead already.

More rain expected throughout the day today so there are flood warnings in effect for the next few days. Not sure how much rain will get dumped up river from us. Hard to believe there was any left by the time it got to us with how slow it was going.
