Moving to Hugo

After a lot of working with Eleventy for a while I decided to jump ship and move to Hugo. The main reason behind the decision was the ease of Hugo themes.

Eleventy has a ton of customization but I just don’t have the time to put into it. I found a really nice and simple theme Anubis2 for Hugo that I’m really liking.

I might try to update the colors to follow the Catppuccin palette. But overall happy with it.

I still need to figure out a better way to get content uploaded. Currently Hugo wont run unless I manually run it and content is easiest edited directly on my server.

I played around with TinaCMS but the self-hosting required a lot more configuration than I wanted to deal with. But the feature set of Tina is very compelling so I may go back to it or look for something similar.

Did spend some time getting my terminal environment set up all the way on my VPS. So I have all my NeoVIM plugins and customizations setup. So writing is much easier now as long as I have a full keyboard. I don’t know that I’ll be able to easily add content from my phone.
